The Application Board 3.0 is designed to simplify the evaluation and prototyping of sensors for a variety of applications, especially in the areas of Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT), smart home and portable devices.
The scalability of a sensor from Bosch Sensortec can also be easily extended with the new platform. To do this, the sensor is mounted on a âshuttle cardâ and plugged into the socket on the application card. Bosch Sensortec software automatically recognizes which sensor is connected to the tool and starts the appropriate program. In this way, many sensors and solutions can be evaluated quickly. Prototyping is also easier: product developers can use the new board to quickly test different configurations for their applications.
With its compact dimensions, the Application Board 3.0 from Bosch Sensortec is suitable for the evaluation of sensors in portable applications. It is powered by a 3.7V lithium-ion battery or standard 5V USB power supply.
The associated Integrated Development Environment (IDE) provides a simplified graphical user interface (GUI). This makes it possible to evaluate and adjust sensor parameters and to visually record and display sensor data. In the event of sensor-related problems, the software can also quickly detect errors.
The 3.0 application board was developed with the u-blox NINA-B302 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module and is based on the nRF52840 chipset from Nordic Semiconductor, which contains an ARM Cortex-M4F processor. The platform is certified and approved according to various standards for several international regions: CE, RoHS, China RoHS, FCC, IC, VCCI, SRRC and NCC.
To ensure that most IoT use cases can be configured quickly and efficiently, the card has 256KB of RAM and 1MB and 2GB
